Conference focus: Maximising Learning | Engage | Collaborate | Inspire
Conference strands: Understanding learning and every learner | Nurturing and inspiring learners
Teachers’ Conference is a biennial event for the teaching fraternity in Singapore. This two-day event is a national platform for the professional sharing and exchange of ideas. It is a unique opportunity to support all educators in their professional growth as they present insights from research or practices in their classrooms or schools, and gain fresh professional perspectives through their interaction with fellow educators, both local and international. At Teachers’ Conference 2016, distinguished experts will be addressing the Conference focus: “Maximising Learning: Engage. Collaborate. Inspire.”.
The Conference comprises on-site and off-site components to provide for a range of learning opportunities for our teachers aligned to the focus.
Alongside on-site components like the keynote addresses, spotlight sessions, concurrent sessions, learning booths and forum, Teachers’ Conference 2016 will include a newly introduced component in the form of a Pre-Conference. The Pre-Conference will be held the afternoon before the Conference proper, and will feature distinguished speakers who are experts in the field of education. Conference off-site components will consist of learning journeys to the relevant partner organisations of AST, the Academies and the Language Centres.
Educators are invited to share effective pedagogical and professional practices and engage in professional conversations with other Conference participants at the concurrent sessions during the Teachers’ Conference.
